2024 INA Slate of Candidates
The Iowa Nurses Association is pleased to share their Slate of Candidates for the 2024 Leadership Elections.
Elections will open on September 20th and will remain open until October 4th.

Position Descriptions |
Secretary: The Secretary is accountable for the record keeping and reporting of meetings of INA and serves as a member of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee. In the case of a simultaneous vacancy in the offices of President and President-Elect, the Secretary shall act as President, and vacant offices shall be filled by a quorum of the remaining Board of Directors, at a special meeting of the Board. | Treasurer: The Treasurer shall be accountable for the fiscal affairs of INA and be able to interpret INA financials. Give updates on the financial standing of INA to the Board of Directors and membership. Serves on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors. Chairs the Finance Committee. |
Director-at-Large: The Director-at-Large provides leadership for the association. Participates in developing objectives against which to review program progress and measure the association’s effectiveness in accomplishing its mission. Has legal and fiscal responsibilities to the members of the association. | Nominations Committee: Members of the nominations committee will identify candidates for positions on the Board of Directors and other elected committees. Monitor the composition and qualifications of the board and committees to ensure they are representative and responsive to the membership. |
Region Vice President: The Region Vice President provides strong leadership for the Region and sets a sound a proper course for its future. Assumes the responsibilities of the Region President in his/her absence and preforms special functions for the Region as assigned by the Region President.
The Region President is responsible for organizing region meetings. They are also responsible for communicating the call for nominations for their region, INA region elections, and nominating region members for awards. | Region Secretary: The Region Secretary is accountable for the record keeping and reporting of meetings for their Region. INA Foundation Director: The INF Director provides leadership for conducting the business of the Iowa Nurses Foundation. Contribute direction for volunteer recruitment, recognition, and participation in activities. Solicit money from donors and participate in fundraising events. Support INF financially with a personal contribution. |
