Holding a Master of Science in Nursing Beth is not only a dedicated practitioner but also a passionate educator. Her mission is to improve and advance healthcare through the power of education, mentoring future nurses, and promoting evidence-based practices. Know for her compassion, clinical expertise, and leadership, she continues to inspire excellence in every aspect of her work
Tara McAuliffe, BSN, RN, HWNC-BC, is a Clinical Nurse Educator in Dubuque. She has been in healthcare for over 20 years and a nurse for most of those. A few years ago, she was feeling extreme burnout and experiencing physical symptoms that went along with it. Through her own healing journey, she discovered the power of life coaching and happened upon a national nursing certification of Nurse Coaching. Feeling like it was a divine step in her path, Tara took some time to explore what this was, and began her own journey through the certification process. One of the incredible things about UnityPoint Health is the way leaders build and grow our current team members. Carrie Lawson, System Director of Nursing Excellence, inquired about the personal path Tara was on and asked if she would be open to collaborating to explore options for nursing team members. This led to the development of “Beyond the Shift.” Starting small with virtual in person workshops, Beyond the Shift has been offered to nurses and other team members as proactive education sessions with applicable, pragmatic action steps for nurses and healthcare providers to become empowered in their ownership of their well-being.
