INA 2025 Standing Committees - Composition and Length of Terms

Committee Terms

As per INA Bylaws, all committee terms are for two years. If vacancies occur during the two-year term, the Board of Directors reserves the right to appoint a member(s) to a one-year term to fill the vacancy.

Standing Committees Composition (as per INA Bylaws)

Bylaws Committee

5 members
Three members appointed in even numbered years.
Two members appointed in odd numbered years.

Education Committee

7 members
Three members appointed in odd numbered years.
Two members appointed in even numbered years.
One member of the Iowa Nurses Foundation.
The President-Elect will chair this committee.

Nursing Practice Committee

9 members
Five members appointed in even numbered years.
Four members appointed in odd numbered years.

Public Policy Committee

9 members
Five members appointed in even numbered years.
Four members appointed in odd numbered years.
