Legislators have just ten days before their per diems run out and they will be making their trips to Des Moines on their own dime and with no staff. The 110-day session is slated to end on April 28, when their expense funds run out, but they could go longer. With the soil temperature warming, the farmers at the Capitol will start feeling the added pressure to get home while the weather is nice.
